Group A Reunion

I told them I was going to crash it, and I was true to my word. Group A, (remember, AWAA split up our group at the last minute and many of the families we had grown to know and love over a 2 year wait didn't get to travel together) anyway, Group A has been planning a reunion for some time now. It was too close not to attend, and they were so gracious to accept us as an "Honorary Fu Family" or were we the fool family??? We had so much fun, and AnnaLyn, who doesn't normally play with other children, actually played with these girls. She even took toys away from them. Isn't that exciting? I know, I know...I shouldn't be excited that she is taking toys, but that's typical two year old behavior, and she's never cared if another child had a toy of hers or not. She's never noticed before. Yeah AnnaLyn!! Of course, it wouldn't be my life if some funny stories didn't come out of it. On Friday night we were invited to "Aunt Betsy's" house for a cookout. She had little swimming pools set up for the girls, but they weren't supposed to get in until after dinner. The other girls were standing so nicely around the pools, just playing with the toys. What does Baby Girl do? Well, she climbed right over them and into the pool of course. Not once, but twice. I gave in and went to put her swim suit on her and she played there most of the rest of the evening. The girl loves the water. On Saturday morning, Lydia and I were in and out of the house and the Anna Sisters were playing on the back porch. I turned around and AnnaLyn was sitting in her swimming pool in her pajamas. Like I said, the girl loves the water. I also learned something about myself. I love communal living. The Headrick Family stayed with us for a few days during the reunion. How nice to have another wife and mother in the house. Then Jackie and her girls came as well, and there were 3 of us to take care of everything. (Oh, yeah, we enjoyed you guys too. :-) I guess it wouldn't work out long term though, because, to tell you the truth Lydia and Jackie....I don't really live like this. I only make gravy when company comes. In fact I've been told that my boys love having people over, because that's the only time I cook at all. Not entirely true, but fairly close.
