The Girl in the Window

It takes you to another blog, where if you click on "The Girl in the Window" again, you will read a fascinating, appaling story about a precious little girl who got lost in the system until she was seven years old. It takes a while to read this story, but it's worth it. It makes me wonder "What if we'd been delayed even longer in getting Babygirl?" What about all the other children who are just waiting? Waiting for their loser parents to give up parental rights but won't, even though they have no intention of caring for their children..Waiting for the orphanage to get them "paperwork ready"...Waiting for some "official" to sign the last bit of paperwork so the child can be in their forever family...Waiting for the USCIS to get off their lazy rumps and get approvals through, (or at least not lose the paperwork!!) Be they African, American, Chinese, Guatamalan, Korean,Vietnamese...Why is there so much red tape? These are children, and every day counts. It's maddening from my limited human perspective. Thank GOD I have a promise that Jesus is watching over the least of these. They haven't cried a tear that HE hasn't seen, haven't felt a pain that HE hasn't felt. And my little angry rant against the system comes as no surprise to HIM.
